110 skis and 25 snowboard equipment sets are offered for rental at Kaķīškalns. Each year the equipment is renewed and supplemented. Our rental is intended basically for using the equipment at Kaķīškalns, as well as for trips to foreign skiing resorts, therefore such extent of equipment is sufficient. Also available for rent: skiing gears and helmets. Smaller equipment (gloves, goggles, socks) is for sale near the rental office.

In order to rent equipment, the relevant amount of security deposit must be paid (70 lats per standard ski or snowboard set and 50 lats for clothing set), or the driving license left as the deposit. Other documents are not accepted in a form of deposits.

Procedure of receiving equipment:
1. The lessee must get acquainted with the provisions and prices of rental.
2. The lessor prepares the selected equipment for handing out to the lessee.
3. The lessee fills in the equipment rent agreement.
4. The lessee leaves the driving license or amount of money of ½ the price, which is adequate for purchase of equivalent new equipment, as a deposit for the lessor. The value of equipment is established by the lessor (person giving out the equipment).
5. The lessee pays for the rented equipment.

Handing over the equipment:
1. Upon accepting the equipment from the lessee, the lessor's employee must examine the technical condition of the equipment.
2. The lessee informs the lessor about damages or defects incurred to the equipment during use thereof by the lessee.
3. In case of intentional damage of the equipment, the lessor applies a compensation to be paid by the lessee for the damaged or lost equipment.
4. The lessor compares the submitted equipment with that indicated in the agreement.
